Single-phase and three-phase input chokes, especially mains chokes, protect the converter input by smoothing the current flow and ensure that unwanted mains feedback (current distortion) caused by commutation during converter operation is limited. Input chokes from MBS-MP optimise the performance of the converter and ensure power quality. In addition, the input choke limits high inrush currents to protect the connected converter.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Single-phase and three-phase output chokes, especially motor chokes, limit the voltage slope in long cables between the converter output and the motor and ensure trouble-free motor operation. By combining inductance (choke) and capacitance (capacitors), we can also offer you our chokes as input or output filters.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Output filters are particularly relevant here. These include all filters, such as du\/dt or sine filters, which are connected downstream on the output side of frequency converters in order to convert the disruptive clock frequency components of the frequency converter into a compatible sine wave voltage form. The downstream motors are protected from damage by the steep voltage edges.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

The use of a sine filter is particularly important for long motor cables, older motors or standard motors. Filtering the high-frequency interference signals also improves EMC immunity.
