Our roots go back to 1953, and since 1996, MP has been synonymous with quality in the manufacture of wound goods. We have been part of the MBS Group since 2024 and are continuing our success story together.
MP was founded in 1996 as Moeller-Preussler Transformatoren GmbH from the merger of Gerhard Möller Transformatoren- und Gerätebau GmbH (Hamburg) and Walter Preussler Transformatoren GmbH (Berlin). The merger laid the foundation for one of the leading manufacturers of wound products in Germany.
Since mid-2024, we have been part of the globally successful MBS Group as MBS-MP GmbH & Co. KG.
As part of the MBS Group, we benefit from combined expertise, maximum vertical integration and a wide range of products – all ‘Made in Germany’.
MBS AG, founded in Sulzbach-Laufen near Stuttgart in 1977, is now one of the leading manufacturers of low-voltage transformers and measuring transducers. MBS products are used in mechanical and plant engineering, energy transmission and distribution systems, renewable energy generation and shipbuilding, among other areas.
All MBS AG products are manufactured exclusively in Germany and in accordance with the specified technical requirements and standards. Thanks to an extensive range of products available from stock and individual expert advice from our employees, our customers can find the perfect current transformer for every application they have planned.
With a 98% vertical range of manufacture, our own specialised magnetic core production and fully automated manufacturing of metal and plastic semi-finished products, MBS stands for one of the highest quality standards in the current transformer product segment.
